Description

Fold up, down, or reconfigure as you please. The Luva Modular Ottoman presents timeless beauty in an inventive form. Created by designer Gabriel Tan, Luva is a case study for probing at the intersections of art, design, and culture. The ottoman’s elemental form is inspired by the soft-rolled tops of Japanese futons and the padded tactility of a boxing glove. Luva (Portuguese for “glove”) can close into a “fist” for supportive sitting or unfold for relaxed repose.

Delivery is free for all orders over £49 to most areas within the UK; all orders under £49 will incur a delivery charge of £4.95 (England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands). For Northern Ireland, a delivery charge of £50 will be added to all orders in the checkout.

If you’re not 100% happy with an item purchased online from Herman Miller, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of delivery. For all seating and desks, a £49 collection charge will be applied and deducted from your refund total. Designers

Gabriel Tan

Gabriel Tan’s work explores the interaction between humans and furniture: how we use and configure them to suit our life, no matter the stage we’re in. His practice, Gabriel Tan Studio, was founded in 2016 in his native Singapore before he moved to Porto, Portugal, with his family in 2020. He keeps studios in both cities, using these influences to explore the cultural intersections between the two.
