Copenhagen-based industrial designer Thomas Bentzen believes that everything he creates should engage and generate curiosity, be functional and meet human needs when being used. In other words, he's a designer who thinks beyond the obvious. Crafted in tough polypropylene, his Shade Bin (2019) combines utility with elegance while keeping office waste fully out of sight. Includes matching lid designed to hide your choice of liner.

Thomas Bentzen designs furniture that’s functional and simple but also engages curiosity. “I like to create objects that satisfy a human need when in use and create joy when idle,” he says. Bentzen started his Copenhagen studio in 2010, and is known for his methodical approach as well as thinking beyond the obvious. He’s passionate about creating products that are both engaging and durable.

Delivery

Delivery is free for most areas within the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands). For Northern Ireland a delivery charge of £50 will be added to orders in the checkout.

Returns

We want you to love every item you receive from us, but we understand that there are times when you may want to arrange a return.

If you’re not 100% happy with an item purchased online from Herman Miller, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of delivery. For all seating and desks, a £49 collection charge will be applied and deducted from your refund total. If your order is delivered via FedEx please retain all packaging until you are satisfied with your purchase.
